Can I send message in languages other than English?
SMS Magic supports unicode messages, which means you can send messages in any language. Please note that messages sent in non English languages have a different length.  This is as per the SMPP specifications and is not controlled by us. Refer the below table for details

What is the length of a single message?

The length of single message is dependent on the type of message you wish to send. Messages sent in plain text English have 160 chars per message, whereas messages sent in other languages have 70 chars per message. This is as per the SMPP specifications and is not controlled by us.

If message contains characters more than the specified length, it will be treated as a long message and corresponding credits will be deducted (for eg: if an English message has 350 chars, three credits will be charged).

Can I send long messages?
You can send messages up to 700 characters with SMS Magic. If you are sending long messages, corresponding credits will be deducted from your account. For example, if you are sending a message of 350 characters, three credits will be deducted.

Long messages are broken into multiple parts and are concatenated at recipients mobile phone.

How can I see the delivery status of messages?
You can see the delivery status of SMS message in our customer portal. This information is also pushed in your Salesforce org if you have correctly set up OAuth authentication (not available with Starter plan).
Which carrier do you use to send the messages?
We have tie up’s with many operators and aggregators worldwide to ensure a high quality of message delivery.
Can I use my phone number to send messages?
No, you cannot use your mobile phone to send off messages. All messages are sent with SMS Magic connections. However, in some countries, it is possible to use your mobile number as sender ID so that all reply messages will come to your mobile phone. Click here to read more.
Which Countries and Networks do you cover?
We support 700 networks in 200 countries. If you do not find your country listed in our SMS cost page, please reach out to our sales team.
Where do the messages appear to come from? What is the sender ID?
Sender ID is the from field of an SMS. It can be alphanumeric or numeric, depending on your use case. You can either configure Sender ID as your company name or with your incoming SMS number.

How many messages can I send with SMS Magic? Is there any limitation?
You can send any number of messages using our standard subscriptions – Starter, Value or Automation. Messages will be sent using SMS Magic connections and you need to purchase SMS packs to sent out the messages. We use high quality transactional routes to ensure all enterprise communications are delivered on time! However, you still need to comply with rules and regulations imposed by local telecom authorities

What is SMS Magic?
SMS Magic is a plug and play application for adding SMS messaging functionality on Salesforce CRM. It enables businesses to send and receive SMS from their Salesforce Org. It also provides you the functionality to automate your SMS communication from Salesforce.
How can I start using SMS Magic on Salesforce?
You can start using SMS magic by Signing up for one of the three available subscriptions. Post signup, we will provide you links to install and configure the application.
Which editions of Salesforce does SMS Magic support?
SMS Magic is available for all editions except “Group” edition. Some Force.com users might face some difficulties with standard package. Please reach out to our support team for special package for Force.com instances.
Is my data secure? What data Salesforce data do you keep with you?

The only data we have on our servers is the SMS data (SMS text, mobile number), Salesforce Org ID & User ID (for authentication). All sensitive data is stored in encrypted format and all data transmission happen over secure SSL links. Please refer the data flow diagram for details.
Does your application support messaging in multiple countries?
Yes, you can purchase a SMS Pack and use it to send message to any country. Price will be deducted as per the destination country.
How do I configure SMS Magic application?
Please visit our resource center where we have put up detailed instructions on how to configure application. For any specific questions please reach out to our support team.
How can I use SMS on Workflows and Scheduling package?
For using SMS on Workflows and Scheduling features, you first need to subscribe for Automation package. Post that you will be provided links to install these add on packages. If you need any help regarding setting up these application, please reach out to our sales team.
What is Sender-Id? How do I change SMS Sender-ID?
Sender-Id is the alphanumeric characters in the “from” field of the SMS. The recipient of SMS will see the SMS coming from the Sender ID configured. You can configure the sender ID from SMS Magic Settings tab. There are some restrictions on use of Sender ID for certain countries, to learn more about sender ID pls refer : http://screen-magic.com/sender-id/

Pricing FAQ’s

Are SMS Packs a one time purchase or do we need to purchase them monthly ?
SMS Packs are available in prepaid bundles of various denominations. You can purchase them and use it over a period of time. There is no monthly commitment/cost associated with SMS packs.
Do SMS Packs have validity?
Trial and Coral SMS packs have validity of 10 & 90 days respectively. Other SMS packs do not have any validity. You can use them at any time.
Where can I send messages with SMS Pack purchased?
Once you purchase SMS Pack, you can send messages to any country. The price per SMS will be deducted according to the destination country where you are sending message. SMS price differs from country to country, click here to see the complete price list.
How can I receive messages from multiple countries?
You have two options for this – One is to use an incoming number which can receive international replies (for example you can use a USA incoming number to gather response from US, UK and Germany). But in this case recipients who are not in your country will be charged for international SMS rates.

Second option is to use multiple incoming numbers and use them to gather response from specific country. For example, you can purchase three incoming numbers for US, UK, Germany and use these numbers to gather response. This way your recipients will be charged for normal SMS usage.

Can I use one incoming number for receiving response from multiple countries?
Yes, it is possible. Incoming numbers of some countries like US have the capability to receive international responses. However, in this case your recipients will be charged for international SMS.
Can I upgrade/downgrade subscription?
You can upgrade/downgrade your subscription at any time. The renewed subscription will be active immediately. The balance amount, if any, will be adjusted with the next payment.
What is the billing frequency and cancellation terms?
The subscription amount and Incoming number rental will be billed monthly. The cancellation notice for unsubscribing the application is 3 months. Click here to read full terms and conditions.
I don't see my country in your SMS cost page. Does this mean SMS Magic is not available for my country?
Outbound messages are available for almost all countries and inbound numbers are currently available for 25 countries. We are constantly adding new countries/routes to our list. Please contact [email protected] if your country is not mentioned in our list. We will try to find some alternate solution for you.

ZOHO FAQ’s

Is there any limitation on number of users who can use the application?

There is absolutely no limit on number of ZOHO users. Once you subscribe to any of the listed package, all ZOHO users in your organization can use the application.

I am already paying for ZOHO, do I need to pay separately for SMS Magic subscription?

Yes, subscription for SMS Magic has to be purchased separately. SMS magic is an independent application which works with ZOHO. ZOHO license fee does not cover applications developed by their partners, like SMS Magic.

What is the billing frequency and cancellation terms?

The subscription amount mentioned above will be billed monthly. You may cancel the subscription at any time if there are no outstanding dues.

Do I need to purchase SMS pack separately?

The subscription amount is only for the application and support. For sending out messages, you need to purchase SMS Packs. If you wish to receive replies from your customers, you would also need to procure a dedicated number.

Can I send SMS to any country using the SMS packs?

Once you purchase SMS Pack, you can send messages to any country. The price per SMS will be deducted according to the destination country where you are sending message. SMS price differs from country to country, click here to see the complete price list.

Can I Upgrade/Downgrade my subscription later?

You can upgrade/downgrade your subscription at any time. The renewed subscription will be active immediately. The balance amount, if any, will be adjusted with the next payment.

What are the available options for payment?

We accept all Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover Credit or Debit Cards and ACH/Wire transfers in 4 currencies USD, EUR, GBP and AUD.
